Burning Blizzard

Once, long before any could remember, there was a time when the eternal war between the fiery Heavens and the frozen Hell intensified at such level, that every living being was aware that the two will crash into each other soon, for Hell began to sent its demons to capture souls and to bring them to the deepest pits of darkness, where those poor souls would face unimaginable tortures, until they would break and became nothing more than slaves. But some, a very few, would resist. For them, there was the ultimate torture. They would be let free, wounded and weak, to roam the ninth level of Hell, where was the coolest. Freezing, they would encounter a sparkling light in the distance, witch will attract them as a butterfly to a lantern. But that particularly lantern would not burn the unsuspecting insect, but freeze it. Those were the Blue Flames of Hell, the only flames of whom the mighty Heaven had no control over. 
   As the battle drew closer, so had the ivy of the Flames over its warmer siblings. What was not to ivy about them? They were free, not trapped in eternal darkness. So, in the eve of the battle, the blue ones did the unimaginable. They lend the forces of Heaven into Hell, assuring light's victory. As a reward, Heaven made the Blue Flames the hottest of flames, but Hell made sure to remind them of their deed, calling them, from then and forever, "The Traitor Flames"
